Freight ForwarderLocation: USA - Dallas-Fort Worth Int Apt, Grapevine, Esters Blvd Division: Air & SeaJob Posting Title: Freight Forwarder - 127381 Time Type: Full TimeFreight Forwarder, Air Export, Defense, Grapevine, Air & Sea US A Freight Forwarder Export is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient exportation of goods by air and ocean, including all necessary documentation, scheduling, and communication with customers and third-party service providers. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to manage relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction.Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier booking and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channelsCoordinate the exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channelsPrepare and process required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of ladingTrack and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on the status of their shipmentsManage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may ariseCollaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service deliveryEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade lawsAll other duties as assignedEducational background / Work experience:Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferredExperience in air and ocean exports is highly desirableSkills & Competencies:Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and ratesOther Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes:Knowledge of air and ocean freight logisticsUnderstanding of trade laws and regulationsLanguage skills:Fluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer Literacy:Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is preferredAt Will Employment:DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
