Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator III to provide senior-level support for sourcing, contracting, procurement, and contract administration activities.
This role will independently review, draft, negotiate, and administer a wide range of contracts while supporting the full contracting lifecycle from RFI/RFP development through negotiation, execution, administration, amendments, claims resolution, and closeout .
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with vendor agreements, procurement contracts, contract law, sourcing, negotiations, risk assessment, and contract administration .
Key Responsibilities
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, vendor agreements, procurement documents, and other legal/contractual documents.
Support sourcing and contracting activities from cradle to grave .
Lead development of:
Requests for Information (RFI)
Requests for Proposal (RFP)
Bid packages
Contract documents
Amendments and change orders
Lead pre-bid meetings and support bidder communications.
Review supplier proposals and conduct cost and price analysis.
Lead contract negotiations and resolve commercial terms.
Perform contract risk assessments and identify potential issues.
Draft contract language and special conditions for complex or non-standard purchases.
Ensure required terms and conditions are included in procurement documents.
Work closely with Legal, Risk Management, Accounting, and business stakeholders to resolve contractor exceptions.
Support contract administration, changes, expediting, follow-up, claims disposition, and closeout.
Maintain complete and organized contract records, amendments, and supporting documentation.
Monitor contract status, compliance, deliverables, and documentation requirements.
Communicate contract terms, status, issues, and processes to business partners and management.
Support vendor and supplier relationship management.
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience in contracts administration, procurement, sourcing, or commercial contracting .
Strong experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
Knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and procurement practices.
Experience with RFI/RFP development and competitive sourcing processes.
Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and risk assessment skills.
Experience managing contract changes, claims, and closeout activities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage complex contract assignments.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook .
Preferred Qualifications
11+ years of contracts, procurement, or sourcing experience preferred.
Experience with Maximo or GEP .
Experience supporting utility, energy, engineering, construction, or large corporate procurement environments.
Experience working with Legal, Risk Management, Finance, and Accounting teams.
